Hobby House Box

Good afternoon to you all and I hope you had a wonderful christmas day. Ours was quiet but really lovely with Dad, Son and Daughter all round to join us for the day and of course we all ate far too much!!

I was also able to show Dad my last post with his snowman and it really made his day when he read the lovely messages you'd left, so a very big thank you from him to those of you who'd left a comment.

Now on to my post for today which is a box I've made especially for the Hobby House 'special christmas event' challenge. It has a hinged lid and I used my QuicKutz nesting frame dies to cut the lid and base. The papers, flowers and pretty Sylvia Zet topper are from the Hobby House, and from my stash I added lace, a string of pearls and some Memory Box die cut foliage.

I shall enter this in the following challenges
The Hobby House challenge 'Must use a Hobby House topper'
The Crafty Bloggers Network challenge 'Girly'
Charisma Cardz challenge 'Anything goes'

Just had to show you this

Hello everyone and thank you for popping by at this very busy time.

First of all I'd like to wish you all a very

Merry Christmas

and I would love to show you this snowman that my 93 year old Dad made.

Dad is one of these people who cannot bear to be idle so has to have things to do and one of his latest hobbies is making knitted toys. He's made about 13 snowmen as well as santas and angels to give as little christmas gifts this year.

Little does he know but I've put a Decopatch kit in his stocking so maybe another new hobby for him.

I'd like to enter this in a couple of challenges on his behalf ~

I'd really love it if you could take the time to leave a comment so that I can read them all to him as I know it would make his day.

Favourite

Just a quick post from me tonight with something I made back at the start of September when the weather was still quite nice and warm and the trees were full of leaves. Then the leaves turned from green to all the beautiful shades of reds, orange and browns before they finally fell off to be swept up and placed on the compost heap. Now we're snuggling up in front of the fire and christmas is only a few days away - time certainly has flown by.

This is my favourite Mo Manning make of 2013 as it was something I made just for fun and the scarecrow looks so jolly. You can find my original post here

I shall enter this in the following challenges
Mo's Digital challenge 'Favourite Mo card in 2013'
Craft-Room challenge 'Time for favourites'

Off now to wrap the pressies and have a glass of mulled wine. Thanks for popping by this evening.

Santas' Sack of Surprises

Well we are definitely counting down to the big day now and even hubby is getting in the festive mood singing along to Jingle Bells.

I know I said I had called a halt on christmas cards but I had this gorgous Giordano decoupage image already made up and it was just so right for OH's nieces who are dog and cat mad. I kept to a CAS design and just layered up onto a background which I embossed using a Die'sire Embossalicious holly folder and the sentiment is a LOTV christmas grungy message stamp.

I shall enter this in the following challenges
Totally Gorjuss challenge ''Special christmas'
Sweet Stampin' challenge 'Last minute christmas'
Crafty Hazelnuts Christmas challenge 'Whatever is urgent to make'

Christmas Wall Hanger

Only a week to go and it will be THAT day again and I hope you're more organised than me. I've been feeling poorly the last few days and spent most of my time curled up in a blanket on the settee so not a lot has got done. This year the mince pies will be from M & S (much to hubbys relief) and probably the yule log too, so just the shortbread for me to make.

I am trying to make at least one snippet creation each week and this is a wall hanging made using leftover bits of card. I cut a circle of white card and then made it into a wreath using Marianne Craftable CR1216 garland die. I roughly cut some card for the snowy ground and used Marianne Creatable LR0136 for the trees. The image is a LOTV topper which I cut out (discontinued - but now available in the art pads) and I attached them all with sticky pads to give some depth. I used blue chalk for the sky and added Stickles to make the snow glisten. Finally I finished off with holly and ponsettia made with Tattered Lace and Memory Box dies and a bit of ribbon.

I shall enter this in the following challenges
Lili of the Valley challenge 'Anything but a card'
Pixies Snippets Playground challenge 'Week 103 snippets'

How Old ??!!

Hello and thanks for popping by. Since christmas is nearly upon us I thought it was time to start a bit of present shopping so yesterday I bought a couple of selection boxes and a tin of biscuits - well it's a start, and I did put up the tree and decorations as well !!

My Dad had his 93rd birthday this week and this is the card I made him. I used a Die'sire Embossalicious folder 'Petite Dots' to emboss a piece of blue card and wrapped some bakers' twine around it before attaching to a card blank. The numbers were cut by hand from some paper scraps and I made the sentiment on the computer.

I shall enter this in the following challenges
Crafters Companion challenge 'Ribbon, thread or twine' (I used an Embossalicious folderr)
Pixies Snippets Playground challenge 'Week 102 snippets'
Crafty Catz challenge 'Anything goes'

Christmas By Candlelight

Hi everyone and thanks for taking the time to pop by at this busy time of the year.

This is a very CAS christmas card that happened totally by chance when I was just moving stuff around on the table. I used a pearlescent card base with the Memory Box Grand Merry Christmas die cut from red metallic card and the topper is LOTV which I attached with sticky pads. I love it when a card comes together like this without even having to think about it.

Thankfully I've nearly finished my christmas cards - all of the important ones at any rate - and this is the one I've made for my daughter. I've used this sweet Nellie Snellen stamp called 'Giving Away' which I coloured with Promarkers and added touches of Stickles to the snow. The papers are a LOTV pad called 'Frosty Christmas and the dies are Marianne Creatables LR0161 lace edge and Memory Box Lindeman Snowflake. The ribbon and gem are from my stash and I made the sentiment on the computer.

Christmas Star

Another weekend upon us and I keep forgetting what day it is. I blame my daughter for that as she is arriving from Australia this weekend and she kept saying she would be here on Sunday but of course she'd forgotten that she gains time and she actually arrives tomorrow !! It will be her first christmas in England since 2008

Anyway my post today is to show you another 'snippet' make - this star was made using only a 6 inch by 3 inch piece of paper and some glue. This is the first time I've made one of these stars and it was very easy once I'd worked out which way to line up the strips and where to glue them. I shall make a few more from other paper scraps and hang them together on a string.

Here We Come A-Wassailing

Well here we are with another challenge over at the Paper Crafting Journey and also we are having a DT call.

The DT call will end the 3rd January so if you fancy the chance to join us you can check out the details on the PCJ blog here.

Instead of lasting 2 weeks, this challenge will continue over christmas and new year until 15th January and for this challenge only you can enter as many times as you like as long as you follow the other rules and theme. So what is the theme you ask - well 'Its Christmas Time' and the sponsor is The Paper Shelter who are giving the lucky winner a $20 gift certificate to their store.

I've used one of their fabulous images called 'Christmas Carols' which I love because it reminds me of the old christmas traditions and I've used Promarkers to colour. I've kept the design CAS using a pearlescent card base and cutting out the image and also some 'music' paper with QuicKutz nesting frame dies. I added a bit of ribbon, a couple of pearls and a sentiment to finish.

I shall enter this in the following challenges

Snippets and boxes

Back again to show you some little boxes I made. I think we must all get so many 6x6 paper pads free with magazines and we definitely get lots of small scraps of card, leftover ribbons, gems etc so I decided that instead of hoarding, or worse throwing them away I should start making things to be sold for charity and these are some little gift boxes that went to raise money for Macmillan nurses. Not much I know, but the person who had the stall was grateful and I used up some of my bits.

I must say thank you to Di at Pixie's Crafty Workshop for giving me the incentive as she has a weekly challenge in which you must use up your 'snippets' in order to take part. So if you've got lots of snippets hanging around then why not pop over to her blog and join in.

I shall enter this in the following challenges
Pixies Snippets Playground challenge 'Week 101 - use snippets'
Dream Valley challenge 'Anything but a card'
Craft My Life All Craft challenge 'Anything goes but NO cards'

Thanks for popping by and I hope you can come back tomorrow when I shall have my DT card for the new challenge at Paper Crafting Journey.

The First Noel....

..... the little meeces did say

Isn't this the cutest of images? It's a decoupage sheet from the Joanna Sheen House Mouse 'Deck the Halls' collection and I love the way it layers up as the mice really do look like they're balancing on a string of lights.

As usual I've kept this totally CAS as it's all about those fabulous little creatures.

Almost Santa Time

Hi everyone, hope you're having a good week and getting yourselves prepared for Santa's visit. I'm not at all organised - but then I haven't been organised for the past umpteen christmasses and the world hasn't come to an end so I don't worry about it nowadays.

In my last post I told you I had been very lucky to win 2 prizes, one of which was on the ABC challenge blog. My prize was a LOTV voucher and as they sent me the code yesterday (how quick was that) I was able to go shopping and of course I had to add a few extra bits so that I could take advantage of their 24 hour sale - so I'd like to say a big thank you to all at the ABC challenge and also the lovely people at LOTV for the prize.

So on to my card which I made for my Dad to give his sister. I used one of the fabulous decoupage sheets from Joanna Sheen's Giordano Christmas collection and the papers were from my pile of loose sheets so not sure who from. The sentiment was made on the computer and cut out with Marianne Creatable LR0180 die. I used Tattered Lace Christmas Florals to make the Poinsettias and the foliage is from the Memory Box Fabulous Phlox. I finished by adding a few pearls from my stash.

Christmas Hedgehogs

Good evening to you all and thanks for popping by.

I can't believe it's December 1st already and I still haven't finished making all my christmas cards. Still I had a great start to the day when I found I had not only one but two challenge wins and a top 3 pick. After all my whooping for joy hubby realised I was in a very good mood so suggested I might like to do a bit of housework for a change - I couldn't really refuse him now could I, so hence the lateness of my post.

This is a Penny Black stamp called 'Here Comes Christmas' which I stamped twice to decoupage the little hedgies. I used Promarkers to colour and some liquid pearls for the snow on the plantpot. The papers are LOTV 'Frosty Christmas' and the snowflake die is Memory Box 'Crystal Snowflake'. I made the sentiment on the computer and added a couple of gems from my stash.

I shall enter this in the following challenges
Penny Black Saturday challenge 'Sparklers'
Papertake Weekly challenge 'Sketchie time' (I used sketch no 43 - rotated)

Mulberry Wood Christmas

Good Morning to you all and a special welcome to my new followers.

A quick post from me today to show you some card and box sets I made with a magazine freebie which was a Crafters Companion 'Christmas in Mulberry Wood' decoupage cardmaking kit. I used the papers to make some small origami boxes which I decorated with flowers and tags made from paper scraps and some gold peel-offs. Then I made matching CAS cards using 5 x 5 pearlescent card bases with the paper and the decoupaged images and added happy christmas sentiments from my stash. A very quick and easy make.

Christmas With the Snow Family

Back again with another card I managed to get finished this morning.

I bought this stamp called 'Snow Family' from Sugar Nellie and I've inked it up, coloured it and started making a card with it several times and never been happy with the result but this time I think I've finally cracked it.
I decided to try a tall CAS card, coloured the image with Promarkers and I used the Memory Box 'grand merry christmas' die to cut the 'christmas' letters from some scraps of red holographic card. Finally I cut a Marianne Creatable LR0189 mistletoe sprig from another card scrap with pearls for berries and I added a sprinkling of snow to the image with Stickles.

I must apologise for the quality of the photgraph but I really am struggling with the lighting this time of year and this really does sparkle when the light catches it.

Raspberry Fun

Hello to you all and a very big welcome to my new followers.
Gosh, I can't believe we're almost into December and in four weeks it will be christmas day. Where has this year gone?!

Over at the House Mouse challenge they want to see cards featuring your favourite things - so of course for me that would be any of the cute little meeces but I especially love them decoupaged. This sheet is from the Joanna Sheen House Mouse 'Fruit and Nut' collection and it is one of my favourites not least because they are picking raspberries. I must admit to being partial to the odd chocolate or two but given the choice I would rather have a nice (big) bowl of raspberries and cream.
As is my way with these little meeces I kept it very CAS, just adding a butterfly from my stash.

I shall enter this in the following challenges
House Mouse & Friends challenge 'My favourite things'
Joanna Sheen challenge 'Celebrate'
Crafty Cardmakers challenge 'Clean and simple'
Crafting For All Seasons challenge 'Birthdays'

Happy Birthday Star

Good afternoon to you all and I hope you're enjoying a nice relaxing weekend.

I still have a few christmas cards to make but decided to have a bit of a break and have a play with a new stamp which was in my package from Dorte. So I had a rummage in my scraps box and made this small card with a top fold. The stamp is Penny Johnson 'Star Ballerina' which I coloured with Promarkers and cut into a circle. I layered this onto another circle and the paper is from Pink Petticoat. I just added a snippet of lace, some pearls and a silver peel-off sentiment to finsh.

I shall enter this in the following challenges

My Hobby House Card

Earlier this month I was very lucky to be the winner of the Birthday blog hop at Ready-Teady-Go (a VERY big thank you girls) and my prize was this fabulous cardmaking kit from The Hobby House.

This is the Wee cardmaking kit featuring Spring Bringer and Love Me Do and you can find it here.
I've not played with one of these card kits before and I must admit I was very impressed with the quality of the contents.
I've made this card and the only thing added that was not in the pack was a bit of foliage from the Memory Box Fabulous Phlox die. I probably went a bit OTT with the pearls and the pearl flourish does show up more IRL than the photo shows. The Wee toppers are all gorgous but I think this little girl with her cat is just so cute and the roses are the most fabulous colours.

maybe you can see the pearl flourish a bit better here

I shall enter this in thee following challenges

Bling That Snowman

Good morning to you all and as promised here is my DT card for the new challenge over at the Paper Crafting Journey. The theme this fortnight is 'Bling It Up' and we are sponsored by Digistamps4Joy so we want to see all your paper creations with BLING

I've used a Digistamps4Joy image called 'Mr Snowman' and coloured him with Promarkers. I kept to a CAS style and matted the image onto silver mirri-card and used Memory Box 'Frostyville Border' die to cut the snowflakes edge. Then I added Silver gems, a peel-off sentiment and a toch of Stickles to the 'snow'

Christmas Angel

Last year I bought quite a few LOTV sheets of die-cut images (mostly christmas) and as you got 6 on each sheet multiplied by at least 15 sheets that adds up to a lot of cards to be made. I guess I'll still be using them christmas 2014 and I daren't buy any of the new art pads until I've used these up first.

So here is one of those sweet angel images which I cut into a circle and layered onto a Marianne Creatables LR0129 die. I embossed a piece of white card with a Die'sire Embossalicious Grande Dots folder and die cut the bottom edge with Marianne Creatables LR0201 die. The snowflake tucked behind the image is Marianne Creatables LR0185. Finaly I added some Hobby House Pearls and snowflake charm and the ribbon is from my stash.

IndigoBlu Chocolate Orange

I'm back again with another card and another new style for me.  I decided to have a play with an IndigoBlu stamp called Ella Bella. My first attempt was to stamp using an orange Aquamarker pen but although the colour was fabulous it didn't stamp too well, so without cleaning the stamp off I inked it up with black Memento ink and stamped onto designer paper from a Websters Pages pad. It is a much softer finish and IRL you can see hints of orange which don't seem to show up in the photo. I used a kraft base card and the flowers and pearls are from my stash.

It was lovely to take a break from making christmas cards but I will definitely have to add some coloured stamp pads on my list for santa !!

I shall enter this in the following challenges
IndigoBlu challenge 'Chocolate orange'
Ladybug Crafts Ink TLT challenge 'Use kraft cardstock'
My Mum's Craft Shop challenge 'Autumn colours' (my 2nd entry)

Shhh, Santa's Here

Well he will be soon with lots of goodies (I hope).

Talking of goodies, this fabulous stamp I've used was in the surprise package I received from the lovely Dorte (along with lots of other wonderful things). It is the Stampavie Sarah Kay Santa and I think he is just super with his sack of toys, especially the little panda peeping out.

I decided to try something totally different with this card and used some scraps of paper on white card to make a checkerboard background with a Marianne Creatables LR0161 lacy edge. After colouring the santa with Promarkers I cut him out leaving a little white card round the edge so he would stand out and attached him with sticky pads. The sentiment was saved from a decoupage sheet and also attached with sticky pads.

I'm pleased with the result, especially as it's a great way to use up all of those old scraps of paper and card but I really would love to know what you think of it too.

I shall enter this in the following challenges
I Love Promarkers challenge 'Red and green'

Winter Gathering

Well I'm beginning to get back into the swing of things and here's another christmas card.

I've used one of the many beautiful images from the Joanna Sheen Giordano Christmas Creations cd and printed it off several times so that I could decoupage it. The lovely soft background paper is a freebie from Donna at Bearly Mine Designs (thank you Donna) and I embossed the white card with the Die'sire Embossalicious 'I believe' folder. The sentiment envelope is made using Marianne Designs Craftables CR1211 with gold peel-offs and the holly (coloured with Promarkers) is from the Tattered Lace 'Christmas Florals' dies. The other dies are both Memory Box, 'Lindeman Snowflake' and 'Snowflake Sprig' and the pearls are from my stash.

Santa Claus WOW

Hi everyone, thanks for dropping by and I hope you're all enjoying your weekend.

I was hoping to get all my christmas cards made by the end of November but I'm not sure that is going to happen, even though I did start straight after last christmas !! This year has gone really quick don't you think.

For this card I used the fabulous LOTV 'Santa' stamp which I coloured with Promarkers and added Stickles on the snow for sparkle. The sentiment is one of the LOTV Christmas grungy messages inked with Promarker metallic silver to give a softer finish. I die-cut the image with a QuicKutz nesting die and used Memory Box 'Frostyville Border' and Marianne Creatables LR0136 tree dies cut from white card and stuck straight onto the base card. Then I added a couple of bits of card candi to finish.

I shall enter this in the following challenges

Sweet Sugar Mice

Good afternoon to you all and a big hello to my followers, new and old. Thank you for your visits.

I've not been in the blogging or crafting mood the last few days - probably an overdose of christmas card making has addled my brain, along with laptop problems. My followers and followers on everyone elses blogs plus other bits of blogger were disappearing, I was getting a message saying my Windows wasn't genuine and the antivirus software kept disappearing from my laptop completely. I've finally worked out that is the new version of Avast antivirus that has been causing all the problems and I've gone back to Microsoft antivirus and up to now things seem to be going okay (says she with fingers and toes crossed).

So this is a card I made and which I haven't got around to blogging. It's a CAS design as is my usual with the fabulous House Mouse decoupages. This sheet is from the 'Food and Drink 2' collection along with the sentiment and the paper is Pink Petticoat.

I shall enter this in the following challenges
Joanna Sheen challenge 'Food for thought'

Mousey Chocolate Wrapper

Good evening and thanks for popping by. I hope you've all had a lovely (and maybe crafty) weekend.

The challenge over at House Mouse is to make something other than a card. I didn't want to make a box or bag and then I thought about chocolate bars (very easy to think about, I know) and giving them rather than eating them. A nice bar of chocolate is a lovely small gift or stocking filler and so I decided to make a wrapper to go around it. You need a good thick paper the length of the chocolate bar and wrapped tightly enough so the chocolate doesn't slip out. Then stick down with double sided tape and decorate as you please.

Here's what I started with

and here's the finished wrapper

White Christmas

Hello all and a big special hello to my lovely followers.

I had a super start to the day when the postie bought me this fabulous surprise from Dorte. It contains lots of wonderful goodies which I shall love using and isn't that tag so adorable. Thank you so much Dorte you really made my day.

I'm not so keen on making cards for men at the best of times and even though my Dad says he's not bothered about cards I think secretly he is but there aren't that many that he really likes. So I decided on CAS and white and put this card together. It rather reminds me of his garden when it snows with his bird table up against the fence and he loves to watch the birds feeding.

I used a kraft card base with white card embossed using a Die'sire Embossalicious Grande Dots folder. The stamp is Wild Rose Studio 'Birdhouse' coloured with Promarkers and the dies are Marianne Creatables LR0136 tree and Die-namics Picket Fence. I made the sentiment using a gold peel-off and gold gel pen for the handwritten 'Dad'.

I shall enter this in the following challenges

Toasting Marshmallows

Hello all, I'm running a bit late today as I've been out at my Dad's. My aunt and cousin came for a visit and we had a lovely time especially when my dad and aunt were recounting tales of their childhood in the 1920's (they are both in their 90's)

Anyway, onto my DT card for the challenge over at Paper Crafting Journey. This fortnight we are sponsored by 'The Paper Shelter' who are offering the lucky winner a $20 gift certificate so just think of all the goodies you can buy with that. The theme for this challenge is 'Case A Card' and I know that may put some of you off, but when you think about it most of us gain inspiration from all those fantastic cards out there. Just remember to include a link to the card you have cased.

I picked a card made by Merkkari one of the DT at The Paper Shelter.  She has lots of wonderful cards to see, so why not drop by her blog Korttimmari to take a look. You can see the card I cased here and this is my take on it.

This is what I used ~
Image -  The Paper Shelter 'Marshmallow for a christmas elf'
Papers -  Milton & Co christmas (a magazine freebie)
Dies -  QuicKutz nesting frame 14
       Die-namics Picket fence

From my stash - Pearls and snowflake charm (all from the Hobby House) and ribbon

Santas' Visit

Good morning to you and thanks for popping by again, your visits are most welcome.

I think this is turning into a christmas card blog as that is all I seem to be making at the moment - I'm just glad I started earlier this year.

I've used one of the Joanna Sheen Giordano 'Father Christmas and Friends' decoupage sheets  which I was lucky to buy when they were on offer at half price and an absolute bargain. I know decoupage can be a bit time consuming and fiddly but it is worth it as the image really comes to life with all the layers (just a pity you can't see it in this photo).

I wanted to keep this snowy and wintery looking so no designer papers. Instead I used one of the fabulous Die'sire Embossalicious embossing folders. I am starting to build up a collection of these folders in different sizes and this one is the 8"x8" Grande Dots.

The sentiment is one of the LOTV christmas grungy messages and I used Tattered Lace 'christmas florals' die for the holly (coloured with Promarkers) and poinsettia and Memory box 'fabulous phlox' for the foliage (cut from gold mirri-card). The small flowers, ribbon and pearls are all from my stash.

I shall enter this in the following challenges
Creative Inspirations challenge 'Bingo' (I went for pearls / white / flowers)
Papertake Weekly challenge 'Anything goes + option christmas'
A Little Bit Crafty challenge 'Sparkle and shine'
The Corrosive challenge 'Tic-Tac-Toe' (I went for flowers / sentiment / layers)

CAS Christmas

I know christmas isn't usually clean and simple but my card certainly is. I used a card blank, a LOTV die cut image, a piece of white card and a sentiment I'd saved from some decoupage. All I did was cut a circle from the card which I then embossed with a Die'sire 'Holiday Holly' embossing folder and stuck it all together - using sticky pads to get an upraised finish to the embossed card. So simple but it looks effective and great when you have to make a lot of cards in a short time.

I shall enter this in the following challenges
Ready Teddy Go challenge 'Use embossing'
Christmas Cards All Year Round 'Winter snow / snowflakes'
Cards Galore challenge 'Animals'
The Squirrel and the Fox challenge 'Animal antics'

Birthday Boy

Hello to you all. Sorry I've not been around much just lately but I've been suffering and shivering with those dreaded bugs and germs. I'm trying to play catch up which isn't too easy when my head and body aren't functioning properly but I have a few cards that have to be finished (and started) in the next couple of days.

Here's the card I've made for my son's birthday this month. I chose this image from the LOTV 'Vintage Boys' sketch pad as it looks just like him when he was very young and would go to help my Dad in the garden. He actually had a striped shirt, trousers with braces, wellies and my dads' flat cap as well as a smiling round face and blonde hair. Now he is a grown man and still helps his grandad with his garden. I used Promarkers to colour the image, blue chalk to colour the sky and the papers are Prima Doodle Deux Collection and Raspberry Road Designs.

I shall enter this in the following challenges
Papertake Weekly challenge 'Sketchie free for all' (I used sketch 31)
I Love Promarkers challenge 'Anything goes'
CRAFT challenge 'For the boys'
Whimsy Stamps challenge 'Anything goes'

CraftyHands challenge 'Anything goes' (my 2nd entry)
Catch the Bug challenge 'Anything goes'

Thanks for popping by and I'll be round to see you asap.

Check This Box

Good morning to you all and I hope you survived the awful weather we had at the weekend. I'm full of the dreaded bugs so only a quick post from me today then I'm back off to snuggle up in a blanket.

I've never made an exploding box before so that was my little project at the weekend and again I went for a christmas theme. The papers are some of last years Raspberry Road Designs 'Christmas collection' and the sentiment is one of the LOTV christmas grungy messages. I used Memory Box Lindeman Snowflake die with some pearls from my stash and the poinsettia is Tattered Lace Christmas Florals with the foliage die from Memory Box Fabulous Phlox. The foliage was cut from silver mirricard and I experimented by using some glossy photo card for the flower which I coloured with Promarkers and fastened with a tiny brad. I couldn't decide what to do in the centre but after a rummage I found this old cake decoration of a skating Santa which I thought worked quite well and I used the centre die of Marianne Creatables LR0180 for his 'skating rink'. Finally I added a snowflake charm from my stash.

I shall enter this in the following challenges
Winter Wonderland challenge 'Check this out'
Polkadoodles challenge 'Anything but a card'
Oldie But A Goodie challenge 'Charming' (papers and santa are over 6 months old)
Craftyhands challenge 'Anything goes'

Thanks for visiting today and I hope you'll drop by again.

Anything Goes at the Paper Crafting Journey Challenge

It's Thursday and so we have a new challenge starting over at the PCJ challenge. This fortnight the theme is everyone's favourite of 'Anything Goes' so no excuses for not joining in with your paper craft creations. Just remember the rules though - maximum of 3 entries and no back linking - and you could be in with a chance to win the prize from our sponsor Digital Delights.

I'm still on the christmas card production line and I've used another of the fabulous House Mouse decoupage sheets from the 'Wishes For Christmas' collection. I wanted to keep it quite CAS but also bling it up a bit so I followed the theme of the image and added some tiny christmas bells/baubles which I 'strung up' with twine. The background paper is from the Kate Knight christmas collection which I've had since before last christmas and the sentiment is from another decoupage sheet.

I shall enter this in the following challenges
House Mouse & Friends challenge 'Anything goes with twine'
ABC Christmas challenge 'U.. for under the tree'
Creative Inspirations challenge 'Anything Goes + optional sketch'
Christmas Cards All Year Round challenge 'Getting ready for christmas' (my 3rd entry)
Polkadoodles challenge 'Christmas is coming' (my 2nd entry)

Thanks for popping by and I do hope you can come and join us on the challenge blog.

Shape It Up

Hello to you all on this wet and chilly Monday, hope you're having a good start to the week.

Over the weekend I finally got round to inking up this Wild Rose Studio stamp called 'Hanging Gifts' which I coloured with Promarkers. Then I made a shaped card base with a top fold using the largest of the QuicKutz Nesting Frame 9 dies. I used smaller of the same frames to die-cut the image and also WRS 'Annabelle's Christmas' background paper and white card, which I layered up. The sentiment is one of the LOTV 'Christmas Grungy Messages' stamps and finally I used ribbon from my stash to make the bow.

I shall enter this in the following challenges
Magnolia-licious challenge 'Shaped cards'
CRAFT challenge 'Christmas'
Allsorts challenge 'Ribbon and bows'
Polkadoodles challenge 'Christmas is coming'
Stamping Sensations challenge 'All creatures great and small' (my 2nd entry)
