Going Girly with Snoesjes and Marianne Design

Well it has been a nice sunny day here but my hubby has just decided to wash the car and now the dark grey clouds have appeared. Mind you it's been so long since he last washed it that I'm quite surprised it hasn't started snowing again !!
As I won't be here for a few days I decided to make one last card for a couple of challenges. The main themes were to use a Snoesjes image and Marianne Design products, so out came the dies, decoupage and paper and this is the result. I must say a big thank you to Mina for the fabulous candy I won in the form of this Marianne Collectables butterfly stamp set - it really is fabulous.

Here's what I used
Decoupage ~ Marianne Design 'Snoesjes'
Paper ~ Marianne Design 'Scandinavian Christmas'
Dies ~ Marianne Design Creatables LR0180, LR0143, LR0157, LR0156, LR0145 and LR0111
Die & stamp set ~ Marianne Design Collectables COL1319

The only other additions were a silver peel-off sentiment, some hand rolled flowers and I used Stickles, Liquid Pearls and chalks to finish off.

I shall enter this in the following challenges
The Snoesjes blog challenge 'Make a card / creation with a Snoesjes decoupage / stamp'
Marianne Design challenge 'Use a cute Marianne design stamp / image and Marianne Design materials'

An Origami Box

I decided to try something different today and made an origami box - they are so simple to make but are quite strong and would make lovely gift boxes. You can make them in any size and just have to cut the base square half an inch smaller to fit.
I used paper from the Prima Botanical Collection 6x6 pad and ended up with a box just over 2 inches square. To decorate the top I used Marianne die LR0156 (flower), Memory Box die fabulous phlox (leaves), a tiny punched butterfly and a lovely deep red rose from my stash.
This was so easy and quick to make and would also be a good way to use up some of those papers that we're not to keen on as they look totally different when folded into a box.

I shall enter this in the following challenges
Creative Inspirations challenge 'Anything But a Card'
Papertake Weekly challenge 'One Paper Taker - one design paper only'
Allsorts challenge 'A Passion For Flowers'
Bunny Zoe's Crafts challenge 'Favourite Colour Combo' (deep red and creams / beiges)
Crafting For All Seasons challenge 'No Stamps Allowed' (my 2nd entry)

Good Morning to you all. Well the sun is shining in through the windows again so hopefully spring is here to stay. I'm not sure why but I seem to be hooked on making christmas cards at the moment so hopefully I'll be better prepared this year.
I've got a stack of LOTV die-cut toppers (which they no longer sell) and I thought it was about time to start using them up. This one is from a sheet called 'Christmas Bunnies' and I layered it onto red, gold and white card and added some Stickles. The green/red flowery paper is from a pad called 'Berry Merry' by Jennifer Ellory and everything else is from my stash.

With the sun shining and the washing drying on the line my second card of the day just had to be a springtime theme.
For this I used Wee Stamps 'Spring Bringer and again coloured her with Promarkers and added Stickles to her wings and also to the flowers. The paper is from a pad called Floral Fantasy by Louise Tiler and the sentiment stamp was free with a magazine. All the dies are Cheery Lynn - B193 hummingbird, DL112 small butterfly and B152 miniature rose to which I added some liquid pearls for the centres and I also added touches of Stickles to the bird and butterfly. The ribbon, lace and pearls are all from my stash.

A Ragged Christmas Angel

Good evening to you all, hope you're having a great weekend. The sun has been shining and it's been warm today as well - does that mean spring has finally arrived or just wishful thinking?

I used a Mo Manning image called 'Ragged Angel' which I coloured with Promarkers and rather a large helping of Stickles on the wings!! A Monochromatic Paper Crafting Journey

Good Morning to all you lovely people. We have a new challenge starting today over at Paper Crafting Journey which is sponsored by Digital Delights. The theme this time is one of my favourites 'Monochromatic'. There are so many shades of each colour  and we'd love to see what you can come up with in your creations.

The card I've made is for my aunt on her birthday next month so I wanted something a bit special and as I had already used these papers and layout before I knew exactly how I wanted the finished card to look. As I will be making her 2 cards (the other from my Dad) I will be adding another sentiment for either 'Aunt' or 'Sister' when Dad has his say-so. I am so lucky as my Aunt will be 91 this year and my Dad will be 93 in December. They are both such wonderful people and so totally independent still and it really is quite magical when they get together. Anyways here is my card.

Here's what I used
Image - Mo Manning 'A Teacup Fairy' coloured with Promarkers and Stickles added to the wings
Papers - Bearly Mine Designs
Dies - Marianne Creatables LR0143 corner, LR0157 lavender, Cheery Lynn DL112 small butterfly
Stash - Lace, Flowers. Pearls, Sentiment

I shall enter this in the following challenges
Natalie and Amy's challenge 'Monochromatic'
A Little Bit Crafty challenge 'First challenge - Anything Goes' (a brand new monthly challenge)
Stamp and Create challenge 'Use at least 1 die-cut'
Live and Love Crafts challenge 'Let's play Bingo' (I went diagonal - lace/vintage/pearls)

Passion For Promarkers challenge 'Fantasy'
Simon Says Stamp challenge 'Happy Birthday'
I Love Promarkers challenge 'Your Favourite Colours'
Papertake Weekly challenge 'Anything Goes' (my 2nd entry)

My First Twinchie

Just a quick post from me this evening.
I'd seen some 'twinchies' on Barbara's blog here but I've never made anything like this myself and so I decided tonight that I should give it a go. I found this free poppy image here (which I think would look great any size) and printed it out at two inches, then coloured it with Promarkers. I'm quite pleased with my first attempt, so what do you think?

I shall enter this in the Show Us Your Twinchies challenge 'Flower or Flowers'
and also Simon Says Stamp and Show challenge 'Anything Goes (my 3rd entry)

Thanks for dropping by, I really appreciate it.

Hello and I hope you all had a great easter weekend. I've been enjoying all the lovely sunny weather - we just need the temperature to rise a few degrees and then it will feel like spring has finally put in an appearance. Well with the bank holiday weekend and the clocks altering I've lost all sense of time and I've hardly touched the computer, so I shall be popping round later to catch up with you all.

A couple of weeks ago I received a parcel of wonderful goodies from Kelly at Kelly's Cards ( thanks again Kelly) and this was one of the many stamps in it. It's LOTV  'Advent Calendar' which I coloured with Promarkers and added a touch of Stickles. The paper is 'Berry Merry' by Jennifer Ellory and the dies are both Marianne Design Creatables LR0201 Anja border and LR0185 snowflake. I added some card Candi which was also in the parcel and ribbon, button and a sentiment from my stash.
