Baby Fairy Ladybug

Good morning to you all and I hope everything's okay with you.

Recently Mo Manning had a summer sale so I just had to buy a few more of her adorable images - well they are as sweet as candy and less fattening too, so that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it !
This little cutie is called 'Baby Fairy Ladybug' and I coloured her with Promarkers. The dotty paper is Raspberry Road Designs and the other piece is from my scraps box. I had intended adding flowers to the card but decided it looked much better CAS with just the pearls and a computer generated sentiment.

I shall enter this in the following challenges
Mo's DP2 challenge 'Happy Birthday w/a Mo image'
Papertake Weekly challenge 'Sketchie free for all' (I used sketch 39)
Simon Says Monday challenge 'Dotty'
Bearly Mine challenge 'Digi Days' (I used a Mo Manning digi image)
Creative Inspirations challenge 'Fairies'

Thank you so much for visiting me today and I hope you pop back again.

Wings and Things and Bugs in the Garden

I'm back with my second card of the day  and for this one I've used one of my new Sugar Nellie stamps. This is called 'The Story Teller' and I think it's such an adorable image and definitely my favourite of the 'Return to Fairy Glen' release. I coloured it with Promarkers, added Stickles to the wings (though you can't see it so well in the photo) and cut out using QuicKutz nesting frame 8 dies. The background paper is Dovecraft 'Princess Fairytale' and the ribbon, charm, flowers, gems and sentiment are all from my stash.

I shall enter this in the following challenges
The Sugar Bowl challenge 'Anything Goes'
Stamping Sensations challenge 'Wings and Things and a touch of Vintage' (my 2nd entry)
Penny Black and More challenge 'In the Garden'
Vintage Stamping challenge 'Wings and Things'

Thanks for popping by and I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend.

My Pretty In Pink GDT at Joanna Sheen challenge

Good Morning to you all on this bank holiday Sunday. Hope the weather is keeping dry and hopefully sunny for you.

I feel very honoured to be picked as a guest designer over at the Joanna Sheen challenge which starts today. The theme is 'Pretty in Pink' (which I know will suit so many of you) and when I started looking through my Joanna Sheen cds I really was spoilt for choice with so many beautiful images to choose from. I finally settled on this fabulous image from the 'Pamela West collection vol 2' cd in the digistamp section. There are B+W or ready coloured digistamps and I picked the ready coloured version for this card. The striped paper was from another Joanna Sheen cd - 'The Jayne Netley Mayhew collection part 2' - and the spotted paper was free with a magazine. I used a Memory Box Macarena corner die and QuicKutz nesting dies to cut the image. The white pearls are from Joanna Sheen and the ribbon and pink gems from my stash.

I do hope you like my card and I know the Joanna Sheen DT have made some really wonderful inspirational creations so why not pop over to the challenge and see for yourselves.

Thank you so much for having me ladies, it really was an honour.

I shall enter this in the following challenges
Papertake Weekly challenge 'Flower Power' (my 2nd entry)
Totally Gorjuss challenge 'Bows'
Penny's Paper Crafty challenge 'Dies and/or Punches' (my 2nd entry)

Who's For Another Cuppa

Hi to you all and thanks for dropping by today. Well it's the start of the bank holiday weekend for those of us in the UK so I guess we should be expecting rain which means we will just have to stay indoors and enjoy a bit of crafty time.

I have a quick post this morning to show you a card I made using another of the adorable Joanna Sheen House Mouse decoupage sheets. The paper is from a pile of loose sheets I have so not sure where it's from and all I added was a silver peel-off sentiment and some flowers. Unfortunately I had a senior moment and forget to take the photo before I sealed it in the cello bag !!

I shall enter this in the House Mouse & Friends Monday challenge 'Liquid Refreshments'

Hope you have a great weekend and I'd love it if you could pop back tomorrow as I shall have my GDT card for the Joanna Sheen challenge to show you.

Sunny Wishes to Make You Feel Better

Good morning to you all and thanks for popping by. Today sees the start of the new challenge over at Paper Crafting Journey with everyone's favourite theme of 'Anything Goes' and this challenge will last for 3 weeks so plenty of time to show us your creations. But please remember to follow the rules - a maximum of 3 entries which should be paper crafts and also don't forget to mention and link up to us in your blog post. Our sponsor is Just Some Lines who are offering the winner 4 digi images of their choice and they really do have some fabulous images.

I needed to make a get well card so I used one of their freebies called 'Modern Flowers' (check their freebies out here) which was just perfect to cheer someone up. I printed the image twice, cut out the flowers of the second after colouring them with Promarkers and then I attached them with sticky pads to give some depth to the card. The sentiment was hand written and cut out using QuicKutz nesting dies. Finally I added some ribbon and gems from my stash and mounted it all onto a nice bright base card. I took the photo at an angle to try and show the upraised flowers.

I shall enter this in the following challenges
A Little Bit Crafty challenge 'Summer Sun'
My Mum's Craft Shop challenge 'Summer Sun'
Whimsy Stamps challenge 'Clean and Simple' (my 2nd entry)
Papertake Weekly challenge 'Flower Power'
Sweet Stampin' challenge 'Bold and Beautiful'
CAS on Sunday challenge 'Floral Fantasy'
Ribbon Carousel challenge 'Summertime Fun'

So why not pop over and join in with the challenge - we'd love to see all your creations.

Christmas Quickie

Well we're half way through the week and things are beginning to improve, thank goodness. I won't bore you with the details but I do be believe the worst things ever invented are 'customer service call centres' especially those that cost a fortune just to be answered by someone who has no intention of being of service.

Anyway enough of my moaning I have a very quick and simple make card to show you today. I've used a LOTV topper and background paper from the Joanna Sheen 'House Mouse' triple cd. The bells are Marianne Creatables LR0182 die and the ribbon is from my stash.

I shall enter this in the following challenges
The Ribbon Girl challenge 'Colour challenge - Red'
Lili's Little Fairies challenge 'Vintage / Shabby Chic'
Winter Wonderland challenge 'Red and Green Must Be Seen'
Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas challenge 'No Sentiment'
ABC Christmas challenge 'Q... for Quick'
Stamping Sensations challenge 'Wings and Things and a Touch of Vintage'
LOTV's Ideas to Inspire challenge 'Make It Festive' (my 3rd entry)
Penny's Paper Crafty challenge 'Dies and/or Punches'

That's it from me today - a quick card and a quick post. Thanks so much for dropping by and for all your lovely comments. I really appreciate it.

We Didn't Ask Santa For One Of Those

Hope you're all having a good weekend whatever you may be up to.

I've been having a bit of a play with another of the Joanna Sheen House Mouse decoupage sheets. This one is from the 'Deck the Halls' collection and it's also one of the many fabulous images included on the new Joanna Sheen 'House Mouse Triple cd Collection'. The backing paper is from the same cd and the embossed snowflakes were done by hand using a brass stencil. Both of the dies I used are Memory Box - Frostyville Border and Crystal Snowflake - which I cut up to fit the design. The sentiment is a leftover from another decoupage and the flower, ribbon and Hobby House pearls are from my stash.

I shall enter this in the following challenges
Joanna Sheen challenge 'Embossing - Dry or Heat'
Simon Says Monday challenge 'Make the Cut'
Simon Says Wednesday challenge 'Monochromatic'
The Hobby House challenge 'Christmas' (my 3rd entry)
ABC Christmas challenge 'P is for....' (penguins - my 2nd entry)
Sweet Stampin' Christmas challenge 'Winter Animals' (my 2nd entry)
Divas By Design challenge 'Christmas in August' (my 2nd entry)
Bearly Mine Designs challenge 'Anything Goes' (my 2nd entry)

I'm starting to feel a bit guilty about the dust that's beginning to gather so I'm off now to do a 'quick' flick round with the duster and a Dyson push over the carpets - then hopefully I'll have a bit of spare time to ink up some stamps. Thanks for dropping by and I hope you like what you've seen.

Decorating the .... Hedgehog !!

Well the days are still disappearing and getting a lot shorter too. I've been busy making a few DT and GDT cards that I will post at a later date, but I have this one to show you today.

This is another of the Joanna Sheen House Mouse decoupage sheets from the 'Wishes For Christmas' collection and for a change I used a red base card. The paper was a freebie from a pile I have so I'm not sure where it came from and the sentiment was with the decoupage sheet.

I shall enter this in the following challenges
Winter Wonderland challenge 'Cute Christmas' (my 2nd entry)
Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas challenge 'Photo Inspiration (red + green, trees, ornaments)
Divas By Design challenge 'Christmas in August'
Bearly Mine challenge 'Anything Goes'
Christmas at Sweet Stampin' challenge 'Winter Animals'

I really appreciate you taking the time to drop by and love reading all the comments you leave.

Just to Remind Santa....

Hello, thanks for dropping by and I hope you all had a good weekend. We had a lovely day at my Dads house on Saturday as he had visitors - his "younger" brother and sister. It's lovely when they can get together, especially as they have a combined age of 260 years (with the youngest of the three at only 77 years) !!

No card to show you today but instead I have a doorhanger that I had to make in a rush as little eyes were watching and little hands were ready to take it home and I only just managed to get a quick photo before it disappeared. I was very lucky to win 4 Sugar Nellie stamps in the last Sugar Bowl challenge and this is one of the stamps I picked. It's called 'Santa With Lantern' and I coloured it with Promarkers and then cut it with a QuicKutz nesting frame die.  I cut a piece of kraft card and rounded the edges with a punch and cut out the banner by hand. I used red gel pen for the fake stitching around the edge and the handwritten words and then punched a couple of holes and threaded some old tape to hang it to the door. I know it's far from perfect but a certain miniature person has already hung it on the bedroom door just in case Santa stops by for an early 'reccie'

I shall enter this in the following challenges
The Sugar Bowl challenge 'Anything Goes with a Sugar Nellie image'
CRAFT challenge 'Bookmark or Doorhanger'
Sketch Saturday challenge 'Sketch'
Passion for Promarkers challenge 'Clean and Simple'
Sweet Stampin' challenge 'Going Krafty'
Winter Wonderland challenge 'Cute Christmas'
Allsorts challenge 'Stitching'
The ABC challenge 'S for Stitching'
Whimsy Stamps challenge 'Clean and Simple'
Papertake Weekly challenge 'Anything Goes' (my 4th entry)

Thanks for dropping by, I really do appreciate it and I love reading all your comments.

Distress / Vintage with the PCJ challenge

As promised I'm back with my DT card for the Paper Crafting Journey challenge sponsored this fortnight by The Paper Shelter who are offering a $20 Gift certificate to the lucky winner. The theme is distress / vintage and I must admit it is definitely not my favourite. There are some crafters out there who can make the most amazing vintage style cards and I'm afraid I'm not one of them, but after all it is a "challenge" so nothing ventured nothing gained as they say and this is what I made.

We were given some fabulous sponsor images to work with and I decided to use the pre-coloured 'Spring Princess' printing it off twice so that I could decoupage the flowers and the girl. For the background I ripped a piece from a photocopy of an old document I had (from my family history research) and brushed both that and the base card with a 'Tattered Rose' colour distress ink pad. The dies I used are all Marianne Design Creatables LR0143, LR0145, LR0147 and LR0157 and the 'Happy Birthday' sentiment stamp was free with a magazine. All the rest - lace, ribbon, bow, pearls, pearl spray and flowers - is from my stash.

I shall enter this in the following challenges
The Ribbon Girl challenge 'Birthday'
The Paper Shelter challenge 'Punches and Dies'
Cute Card Thursday challenge 'Dieing to Punch'
Bearly Mine challenge 'Tic Tac Toe' (digi image/sentiment/flowers and also pink/ribbon/digi image)
Totally Gorjuss challenge 'Anything Goes with Pearls' (my 2nd entry)
Papertake Weekly challenge 'Anything Goes' (my 3rd entry and this time I used the option vintage)
Ladybug Crafts challenge 'Something Floral'
Natalie and Amy's challenge 'Celebrate'
Marianne Design Divas challenge 'Layer It Up' (my 2nd entry)
Inky chicks challenge 'Lovely Lace'

Thanks for dropping by and I shall be round to catch up with you all over the next few days.

Krafty Santa

Well I'm still running around trying to catch up with myself and I only got round to making this card last night. Winter Wonderland have a challenge theme of red + white + kraft, so after having finally tried blue + white + kraft I thought I should try this combo as well.

This is a LOTV stamp from their new christmas range called Santa and I just had to have him. I was going to use a different stamp but it just didn't work so I got this coloured up with Promarkers and a touch of gold gel pen and kept the colours to match the red and kraft. I used a kraft base card and matted the image onto kraft as well. The background paper is from Marianne Design and the snowflake is Marianne Design LR0185. To finish off I added a couple of pearls from 'The Hobby House' and added a touch of Stickles to the fur and snowflakes on the image.

I shall enter this in the following challenges
Winter Wonderland challenge 'Red, White and Kraft'
Lili's Little Fairies challenge 'Christmas in August'
Totally Gorjuss challenge 'Anything Goes with Pearls)
ABC Christmas challenge 'P is for...' (pearls, presents)
Deep Ocean challenge 'Christmas in July'
Lili of the Valley Monthly challenge 'Make it Festive' (my 2nd entry)
The Hobby House challenge 'Christmas' (my 2nd entry)
Papertake Weekly challenge 'Anything Goes' (my 2nd entry)

We're off to my Dad's this afternoon so I shall be back this evening with my DT card for the PCJ challenge.

Sailing Away

Hi to you all and a special hello to my followers. Sorry I haven't been around to visit you the last few days but I just seem to be chasing around and getting nowhere fast. I really don't know where the time is going and I reckon someone keeps pinching the days and hiding them from me !!

It seems like yesterday that the new Joanna Sheen challenge started and I started digging out all my cds and with a day to spare I've actually got this card made. This image is from the Faye Whittaker Collection cd and I think the little boy is just so adorable - maybe wondering if his boat would disappear if he put it in the sea or how long he will have to wait until he can be a sailor.
The paper is from Pebbles Inc and I used a hammered effect base card. From my stash I added some card candi, a silver peel-off sentiment and the banner is a Memory Box die. Then I made a little boat to finish it off.

I shall enter this in the following challenges
Joanna Sheen challenge 'Boys Will Be Boys'
Creative Inspirations challenge 'Something Old, Something New' (old cd, new die)
Simon Says Wednesday challenge 'Triangles' (banner and boat sails)
Papertake Weekly challenge 'Anything Goes'
Cute Card Thursday challenge 'Anything Goes' (my 2nd entry)
Creative Card Crew challenge 'Banner /Pennant'
The Squirrel and the Fox challenge 'Nautical / Sea Life'
The CD Sunday challenge 'Transportation'

Well that's it from me tonight - I'm off now to put my feet up and watch a movie. I'll be back tomorrow with my DT card for the new PCJ challenge.

LOTV Snowbear

Hello everyone and a special welcome to my newest follower, thank you all for taking the time to visit me.

I'm still in the christmas mood and I've made a card using another of my LOTV die-cuts. This is from a sheet called 'Let it snow' and I'm not sure if it's available in any of the new art pads yet. The backing paper is from Bearly Mine Designs and I matted it all onto silver mirri-card. I made the snowflake using 2 Memory Box Crystal Snowflake dies which I cut smaller and stuck together with a pearl centre and the other dies are Memory Box Frostyville Border and Marianne Creatables LR0136 christmas tree. Finally I added a sentiment from my stash and some Stickles to the snowflake, tree and image.

I shall enter this in the following challenges
LOTV's Ideas to Inspire challenge 'Make It Festive'
The Hobby House challenge 'Christmas'
Live & Love Crafts challenge 'Warm or Cool Colours' (I went for cool)
Christmas at Sweet Stampin' challenge 'Snowmen'
