A Little Boy Fairy For Christmas

Well that's another weekend nearly over and as usual I haven't done half the jobs I planned although I did find the time to get a bit crafty.
I've made another christmas card, this tme for a little boy. The adorable image is Mo manning 'winter fairy Manty' which I coloured with Promarkers and Sakura glitter pen on the wings. I used Die'sire 'holiday holly' folder to emboss the background and cut the image with a QuicKutz nesting die. The snowflakes are Memory Box 'frostyville border' and 'crystal snowflake' - both of which I cut up a bit and covered with Stickles. The sentiment was hand written with a green glitzy gel pen. Apologies for the picture quality as the light was poor when I came to take the photo and it doesn't show the sparkle up at all.

I shall enter this in the following challenges
Mo Manning DP2 challenge 'For the boys w/a Mo image'
My Mum's Craft Shop challenge 'Boys only' (my 2nd entry)
Whimsy Stamps challenge 'Masculine' (my 2nd entry)

My New LOTV Snow Family

I don't know about you but I'm really enjoying this last bit of sunny weather we're having in the UK. Okay it's a bit nippier especially in the evenings and the days are getting shorter but I think it seems to lift your spirits when the sun shines.
Anyways, on to my card. I was very lucky to win 4 LOTV christmas stamps in their monthly challenge and this was one of them. It's called 'Snow Family' and I think it's so sweet and just perfect for kids and adults. I coloured it with Promarkers and added stickles on the snow. The spotty paper is Raspberry Road christmas collection but I'm not sure about the others as they all got a bit jumbled when I was sorting out last week. The dies are Marianne Creatables LR0185 snowflake, LR0189 mistletoe and the tiny snowflakes punch I got years ago from the pound shop. I added a sentiment from the LOTV Christmas Grungy Message sheet - I love the variety of messages as there is something to suit most designs and it's a great way to use up card scraps. Finally the silver gems, charm and ribbon are all from my stash.

I shall enter this in the following challenges
Lili of the Valley monthly challenge 'Ribbon and lace' (my 2nd entry)
Creative Craft challenge 2 'Use ribbon' (my 2nd entry)
Oldie But A Goodie challenge 'Dies and punches' (my 2nd entry - both dies and punch are over 6 months old)
As You Like It challenge 'Favourite sentiment and why' (LOTV grunge sentiment)
Creative Inspirations challenge 'Favourite stamp brand' (LOTV)
Papertake Weekly challenge 'Sketchie free for all' (I used sketch no. 47)
Bearly Mine challenge 'Anything Goes' (my 2nd entry)
Simon Says Wednesday challenge 'Anything goes (my 2nd entry)
Cute Card Thursday challenge 'Pretty ribbons'
Totally Gorjuss challenge 'Traditional christmas colours'

So glad you were able to drop by today and a big thanks to you for all the lovely comments you leave. Hope you have a great weekend.

My Last Little Snoesjes

Back again with the last one of some Marianne Design Snoesjes decoupage that I'd made up ages ago and I'd forgotten about. It's surprising what you find when you have a good crafty clearout and I've now got a seperate box of some older stuff that I intend to use to make cards and such like to be given away to sell on charity fairs rather than be thrown away. Anyway back to the card - I used scraps of old papers to decorate the front and inside, got out one of my oldest Marianne Creatables LR0129 dies and added a few silver gems and a peel-off sentiment.

I shall enter this in the following challenges
Marianne Design Divas challenge 'Anything Goes'
Crafty Catz challenge 'Decoupage'
Oldie But A Goodie challenge 'Dies or Punches' (my dies & decoupage are over 6 months old)
A Creative Romance challenge 'Dies or Punches'

Thanks for taking the time to visit and I'd love it if you would pop back again.

We Three Penguins

Good Afternoon to you all and a special hello to my new followers. I had a bit of a craft clearout day yesterday and found this image all stamped up and coloured with nowhere to go so I decided to make a quick gift tag. The stamp is Penny Black 'Antarcticans' coloured with Promarkers and the holly paper is from my scraps box. I used Tattered Lace 'Christmas florals' die for the holly which I coloured with Promarkers and added Stickles on the berries. The christmas greetings ribbon is from Anita's.

I shall enter this in the following challenges
Penny Black saturday challenge 'Anything but a card'
Simon Says Wednesday challenge 'Use a product in the Simon Says Store' (Penny Black 'Antarcticans' stamp)

Say It With Flowers....

...Which is the theme for the current Mo Manning challenge and I decided to use 'Teen fairy Mia' for this. It's only the second time I've used this digi - she really deserves to come out a bit more often - and I coloured her with Promarkers. I used a Sakura glitter pen on her wings and lace underskirt and unfortunately this doesn't show up in the photo but it looks lovely when the light catches it. The papers are both freebies with magazines, the flowery one is Jennifer Ellory and I'm not sure about the striped one. I cut the image out with a QuicKutz nesting frame die and attached it with sticky pads so that it stood off the card slightly. There is a Memory Box Fairytale Flower Border at the top of the card with some MB Fancy Blossoms and some pearls added to give it a bit of dimension. The ribbon is from my stash and I added a peel-off sentiment.

We've just had a new camera and it's taking a bit of getting used to so please excuse the photo quality.

I shall enter this in the following challenges
Mo Manning DP2 challenge 'Say it with flowers'
Cute Card Thursday challenge 'Fairy nice'
Totally Gorjuss challenge 'Stripes'

Hi everyone, hope you're all keeping well and warm. Just a quick post from me today to show you a card I've made using another of the House Mouse decoupage sheets. Presents From Santa

Hello to you all. The other week Joanna Sheen had some Giordano Christmas decoupage sheets on sale and of course I just couldn't resist and this is the first card I've made from the pack. I do love these images as they remind me of the days long ago when I was a little girl and christmas was a magical time. Before you say anything, yes I can just about remember that far back, ha ha. The background papers are from the House Mouse triple cd and my scraps box and the sentiment is from one of the decoupage sheets. I used Tattered Lace christmas florals die for the poinsettia and holly, which I coloured with Promarkers and added Hobby House rhinestones for the berries and flower centres. I love these ponsettias as they're so easy to make and colour. The two lengths of ribbon are from my stash - the cream was from Joanna Sheen and I'm not sure where the red came from.

I shall enter this in the following challenges
Joanna Sheen challenge 'Ribbons'
Sketch N Stash challenge 'Sketch' (I turned it on it's side)
ABC Christmas challenge 'R is for Recipe - 3 papers, 2 ribbons, 1 image'

Thanks for popping by and I hope you've had a good start to your week

Anniversary Poppies

Well I'm back with another card today and this is one I made for a few challenges and also to try something a bit different. This is only the second time I've inked this IndigoBlu 'Blazing Poppies' stamp and I decided to try using a grey inkpad instead of black. I've never used grey for stamping before but I will definitely be doing it again as I do love the softness it gives to the image. I used Promarkers to colour the image and the papers are from my scraps box so not sure who they're from. The card candi, peel-off corner and ribbon are all from my stash. It looks much softer in real life than it does in the photo.

I shall enter this in the following challenges
IndigoBlu challenge 'Shabby Chic'
Penny Black and More challenge 'Sketch and/or Autumn Colours' (I went for the sketch)
Stamping Sensations challenge 'Poppies'

Without Words challenge 'Happy Anniversary'
Sketchy Colours challenge 'Yellow / Apricot / White'
Divas By Design challenge 'Weddings / Anniversaries'

Thanks for dropping by and I shall be around to catch up with you soon gremlins permitting !!
Hope you enjoy your weekend - I'm off now to attempt to colour up a cut little hedgehog.

Flowers at the PCJ challenge

Sorry I'm a couple of days late posting this but those awful little gremlins have been playing around with my laptop again. The new challenge has started over with Paper Crafting Journey and this fortnight we want to see 'Flowers'. So why not show us your flowery creations - just as long as they are paper craft - and you could be in with a chance of winning a $10 gift certificate from Di's Digi Downloads.

I got a Hunky Dory pack as a magazine freebie a while ago so I decided to give it a go. The decoupage is die cut so no scissors required and all I added was a silver gem to the centre of one of the flowers, a length of ribbon and a couple of pearls.

I shall enter this in the following challenges
Live & Love Crafts challenge 'Inspiration collage' (I was inspired by the flowers)
Ladybug Crafts challenge 'Anything Goes'

Christmas Playtime

The weather certainly has changed and the summer clothes have been swapped for more warmer attire. Next thing you know christmas will be here - which brings me on to my card for today.

I've used this darling image from Mo Manning called 'Little Elf Finn' which I coloured with Promarkers. You can also get 'The Elves' as toppers from The Hobby House. I paper pieced the bauble with some card embossed with a Die'sire Holiday Holly folder and to give it a bit of dimension I 'padded' it with kitchen towel, then carefully cut under the legs and tucked the 'bauble' under them before sticking in place. Then I added Stickles to the fur on the image and the up-raised parts on the embossed bauble. The papers are Bearly Mine Designs and Kaisercraft and the sentiment is LOTV. I made the poinsettias using Tatterd Lace christmas florals die and coloured them with Promarkers and the white swirly die underneath is Marianne Creatables LR0157. The tiny red gems in the centre of the flowers and the berries on the image are from The Hobby House as are the pearls, and the pearl spray and bow are from my stash.

I shall enter this in the following challenges

We Wish You A Merry Chrismouse

Hello and thanks for popping by. I'm still cracking on with the christmas cards and I've another to show you today. For this one I've used another of the gorgous House Mouse decoupages from the 'Deck the Halls' collection and teamed it up with papers from the House Mouse triple cd (the music notes behind the image) and Bearly Mine Designs (the blue & gold background). I used my new Tattered Lace Christmas Florals for the poinsettia which I covered with Stickles and added a pearl in the centre. The other dies are Memory Box Elegant Scrollwork and Marianne Creatables LR0137 bird which I decoupaged for a bit of depth. The sentiment was with the HM decoupage sheet and I added a gold metal snowflake that I've had for ages (probably recycled from somewhere).

I shall enter this in the following challenges

Festive Cuties

Godd Morning to you all - and what a lovely morning it is. The sun is shining, the washing is hanging on the line, postie has been and bought me the fabulous LOTV christmas stamps I won in the last LOTV challenge (thank you so much Lisa and Laila , can't wait to get them inked up) and I just got an email from Hobbycraft to say the dies I ordered have arrived. All in all I guess this is going to be a pretty busy day so I'd better get on with this post.

I'm not a great 'kraft' person but I've come to realise that teamed up with the right image and colours it can look fabulous so I'm begining to experiment a bit. I embossed some white card with a Die'sire 'holiday holly' embossing folder and layered it onto a kraft base card. The image is a LOTV die-cut (still working my way through the great pile I have) which I also layered onto some kraft card and attached with sticky pads. The ribbon and snowflake charm are from my stash and I made the sentiments with some scraps of card and gold peel-offs. Quite a simple CAS style, not the traditional christmas colours but I really like the result.

I shall enter this in the following challenges
Lili's Little Fairies challenge 'No Flowers'
The Ribbon Girl challenge 'Include Numbers'
Winter Wonderland challenge 'How Charming'
LOTV challenge 'Ribbon and Lace'
Sketch N Stash challenge 'Sketch' (New embossing folder and old stash is snowflake charm & ribbon)
Sparkles Christmas challenge 'Non Traditional Colours'
Papertake Weekly challenge 'Anything Goes + option of christmas' (my 2nd entry)
Bearly Mine challenge 'Anything Goes' (my 2nd entry)
Creative Inspirations challenge 'Favourite Colour Combo' (kraft & white - definitely my new fav colour combo)
Crafty Cardmakers challenge 'Snow and ice'

Right I'm off now to pick up these 'Tattered Lace' dies and do a bit of shopping. Thanks for popping by and I'll catch up with you all later.

Graduation Congratulations

Hi and thanks for popping by. I've just a quick post tonight with a card I made earlier this year but never got around to blogging. I was asked to make a graduation card by someone for her son, so as it was for a male I decided to keep it CAS. The background paper has the zig zags made up with the word 'congratulations'  and I used QuicKutz nesting dies to cut out the sentiment that I'd typed on the computer. I made the mortar board from some bits of black card and the scroll is a scrap of paper rolled up and tied with a piece of black cotton.

I shall enter this in the following challenges
C.R.A.F.T. challenge 'Well Done / Congratulations / You've Done It'
Bearly Mine challenge 'Anything Goes'
Papertake Weekly challenge 'Anything Goes'
Simon Says Wednesday challenge 'Anything Goes' (my 3rd entry)

Goodbye Summer

Well it's not quite goodbye summer just yet as we're still getting some really nice warm and sunny days in the UK, but this is the theme at Mo Manning DP2 challenge.

At first I wasn't sure what I was going to do with this theme and I knew it definitely wasn't going to be anything to do with the rain (ugh) so when I saw this super Mo Manning scarecrow I decided I was going to do something just for fun. I made up a little poem - an amateur effort I know, but I'm no poet laureate - and printed it on the same sheet as the scarecrow. I used blue chalks to colour the sky and then I printed another 4 scarecrows which I coloured with Promarkers and cut out to decoupage him. I added some flowers from my stash and penned in some 'sunflower stalks' and then finished it off with a Die-namics fence die and a Memory Box spring border die. I then stuck this to a cheap wooden plaque and this is my 'goodbye' to summer. I'm pleased with how it turned out and even my hubby likes the scarecrow.

I shall enter this in the following challenges
Mo manning DP2 challenge 'Goodbye Summer'
Totally Gorjuss challenge 'Texture'
Simon Says Wednesday challenge 'Anything Goes' (my 2nd entry)
Bearly Mine challenge 'Digi Days' (my 2nd entry)

CAS with A Little Bit Crafty

Gosh I can't believe it's the 1st September already - where has this year gone to?  It does mean the start of a new challenge today over at A Little Bit Crafty and I was very honoured to be given the chance to join in this month as guest DT. The theme is 'clean and simple' and they have 3 fabulous prizes on offer from Bugaboo Stamps, Delicious Doodles and Craft All Day.

I do love CAS style cards when you want the image you're using to grab all the attention and this Mo Manning 'Winter Fairy Pyry' is just so adorable. I coloured her with Promarkers, added Stickles to her wings, headband and boots and used Quickcutz nesting frame 8 to cut out both the image and border. Then all that was required was a gold peel-off sentiment and some little pearls from my stash.

Why not pop over to the challenge and check out the fabulous inspiration from the DT. Thank you so much for having me with you this month ladies.

I shall enter this in the following challenges
Whimsy stamps challenge 'Clean and Simple' (my 3rd entry)
The ABC challenge 'U for Unlimited'
Creative Inspirations challenge 'Fairies' (my 2nd entry)
Simon Says Wednesday challenge 'Anything Goes'
Crafty Hazelnuts Christmas challenge 'Let's get inky +/or painty'
