Flonz Tag It

Hi everyone, hope you're having a good weekend. The weather could be better but at least it's not raining today and the forecast for tomorrow is sunshine, so things are looking up.

I had a very quick play today with one of my new Flonz stamps called 'birds on branch' which I coloured with my usual Promarkers. I wasn't sure what to do with the coloured image so in the end I decided to cut a tag with Marianne Creatables LR0154 die and then added a lace bow.

I shall enter this in the following challenges
Creative Inspirations challenge 'Tag it'
Crafty Little Fairies challenge 'In the garden'
I Love Promarkers challenge 'Flowers' (2nd entry)

Thanks for popping by and just in case you're interested I've added a couple more items of crafty stash for sale (click tab at top)

Butterflies and Flowers

I'm back with my second post of the day to show you a card that just 'happened'. I had no idea of a design and all I had decided on was to use a kraft base card, butterflies and a Marianne Creatable LR0152 circlet die which I'd cut from a snippet of pearlescent card (part of a base card that had gone wrong!!).

As I was usng a 'bingo' line my next step was to pick a designer paper to match and this was in my pile of loose sheets so I'm not sure who by although I'm pretty certain it was a magazine freebie. I added a butterfly and a couple of roses from a Hunkydory die-cut sheet as well as a sentiment and gold peel-off corner from my stash, then I couldn't resist adding a few more of the Hunkydory flowers and another butterfly which were attached with glue dots and sticky pads to give it some depth. I finished it off with some pearls and a ladybug charm.

I like the way this turned out especially as the finished card is not a design I would have normally planned in advance. It's surprising what you come up with when you just play around, isn't it.

I shall enter this in the following challenges ~
Butterfly challenge 'butterfly bingo' (die-cut / butterfly / designer paper)
Pixie's Snippets Playground challenge 'use snippets' (3rd entry)
Allsorts challenge 'happy birthday' (2nd entry)
Bunny Zoe's Crafts challenge 'llowers and charms' (2nd entry)
That's Crafty challenge 'that's krafty' (3rd entry)

Rudolph Christmas

I've been a pretty poor blogger lately and not been very crafty either but as it's Rudolph Day (the 25th) I took over the kitchen table this morning to get out my snippets and make my 2 christmas creations.

I decided that this time I would make a CAS card and matching tag using kraft card as a base and leftover pieces of white card for the dies. When I won the Rudolph challenge back in March Sarn also sent me this gorgous little Penny Black hedgie snuggling up to his stocking full of goodies. I coloured him with Promarkers and cut him out with an Xcut scalloped circles die. The tag was cut with Marianne Creatables LR0154 and the other dies are Memory Box 'frostyville border' and 'crystal snowflake'. From my stash I added ribbon, baker's twine, bells, gem and sentiment.

I shall enter this in the following challenges ~

Rudolph Day challenge 'make at least 2 christmas creations'
Pixie's Playground challenge 'use snippets'
Papertake Weekly challenge 'ohhh so cute'
Passion For Promarkers challenge 'use your die-cuts'

Krafty Christmas

Hi everyone, hope you're still enjoying some of this glorious weather.

I've made another christmas card ready for the festive season but this time I used kraft card to make a  4 x 5.25 inch card base as I have a lot of small envelopes I'm trying to use up. The topper is from LOTV (only 49 christmas ones left to use up !!!) with some Stickles added and the poinsettia and holly are Tattered Lace 'christmas florals' dies cut from snippets of white and gold card. Finally I added a gem and sentiment from my stash.

I shall enter this in the following challenges ~

Crafty Hazelnuts Christmas challenge 'Festive flowers and/or foliage'

House Mouse Splish Splash

Morning all, I'm here with my second card as GDT over at the House Mouse and Friends Monday challenge. The theme this fortnight is splish splash - quite easy as those little meeces love playing with water - but just in case you don't have an image that fits there's always the option of 'anything goes' so you can join in with any House Mouse, Happy Hoppers or Gruffies image. There are some fabulous prizes to be won and amazing inspiration from the DT and GDT over on the challenge blog.

I've used a shaped base card and this gorgous image is from the Joanna Sheen House Mouse triple cd. The lilac background is from a Hunkydory card kit and the ribbon, pearls, flowers, card candi and dragonfly charm are all from my stash.

I shall enter this in the following challenges ~

Gruffies & Guests challenge 'Anything goes with the option of spring'
The Ribbon Girl challenge 'Lilacs / purples'

I'm Clearly Besotted with my new stamp and die sets

How fabulous is this weather... I'm loving it, aren't you? Such a difference from last Sunday when the road outside our home looked more suitable for a boat than a car!!

I have managed to grab a little bit of crafty time this weekend to play with my new stamps and dies from Clearly Besotted (hence the title of this post). This stamp is one of three fabulous flowers from the 'Fresh Flowers' set cut out with the matching die, coloured with Promarkers and Hobby House pearls added to the flower centres. The snippet of striped card is Hunkydory, the ribbon and pink gems are from my stash and I used the 'thank you' sentiment from the same stamp set.

These are the first Clearly Besotted stamps and dies I've bought and definitely won't be the last. I love the quality and beautiful images but you will probably notice I need to practice lining up the stamp and die. The die is solid not outline and I made the mistake of stamping and colouring the image first and then cutting it.

I shall enter this in the following challenges

Clearly Besotted challenge 'Colours' (thank you so much for your wonderful service and stamps / dies)
Without Words challenge 'Pink and/or purple with green'
Pixie's Snippets Playground challenge 'Use snippets'
My Craft Creations challenge 'Anything goes' (3rd entry)
Penny Black and More challenge 'Anything goes' (2nd entry)
Stamping Sensations challenge 'Anything goes' (2nd entry)
One Crazy Stamper challenge 'Anything goes and an embellishment' (2nd entry)

Thanks for popping by and I hope you can come back tomorrow when I shall have another card as GDT for House Mouse and Friends Monday challenge to show you.

Lili of the Valley Fairy Tag

Hi everyone, we're having a glorious sunny day here in the East Midlands and it's set to last into the weekend too (so they tell us). Hope you're as lucky in your part of blogland.

I've something different to show you today as I've been having a bit of a play. I used Marianne Creatables LR0154 die to cut a tag and inked a flowery background on it using a Spellbinders Impressabilities as a stencil and Memento inks. Then I cut another die from vellum and tied it to the inked tag using thin ribbons to make a bow. I added a LOTV fairy cut from a topper and some pearls and flowers from my stash.

and here's another to show the inked tag underneath

Hi all, thanks for popping by.

I'm running rather behind today so here is a quick post from me with my card for the new challenge at Paper Crafting Journey. The theme this fortnight is 'for that special man' and our sponsor is Milk N Coffee. I went for a CAS design and used the sponsors image called 'soccer boy' which I coloured with Promarkers. The green card is embossed with a Die'sire folder 'petite dots' and I layered up the image and sentiment with some leftover pieces of black card.

I shall enter this in the following challenges
Craft Catz challenge 'Black and white and one other colour'
Pixie's Snippets Playground challenge 'Use snippets'

Mice Penguins and a Sunny Days reminder

Hi everyone, hope you all had a fabulous weekend.

First of all a midway reminder about the House Mouse & Friends Monday challenge ~ the challenge theme is 'SUNNY DAYS' and there are some fabulous prizes to be won. Why not hop over and have a look at the fabulous inspiration from the DT.

I did notice Joanna Sheen had some House Mouse / Gruffies / Happy Hoppers stamps and cds on her special offers page at bargain prices if any of you are interested (and yes I was tempted and had to part with a few more pennies). Just in case any of you are wondering I am not in any way connected to her store and the link is just to show my appreciation for an excellent (in my opinion) craft supplier.

I have a lot of House Mouse decoupages already made up and as I haven't made a christmas card for a while I decided that it was about time I did. This Joanna Sheen HM decoupage is from the 'Deck the Halls' collection and it is also one of the images on the Joanna Sheen 'House Mouse' triple cd collection. The paper is Bearly Mine Design which I'd printed off at 8x8 inch at christmas but never got around to using so I cut it to fit and added some Marianne Design Creatable LR0136 trees. Then I added a silver peel-off sentiment to finish.

I shall enter this in the following challenges
Winter Wonderland challenge 'Winter animals'
Papertake Weekly challenge 'Anything goes + option no patterned paper' (my 2nd entry)
Christmas Fun challenge 'All that glitters / anything goes'

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit and for all your much appreciated comments

Hi everyone. I can't believe it's Friday again and I've done no crafting this week so thought I should put things right and got to it this morning to make a card with an image I had already coloured up.

This is one of the old LOTV fairy stamps called Gwenn which I coloured with Promarkers and I used Sakura glitter pen and Stickles to make her wings sparkle. The papers are Prima 'fairy belle' and Dovecraft 'back to basics' and I used Marianne Creatable dies LR0143 corner and the 2 behind the flowers are LR0157. The ribbon, flowers and pearl flower centres are all from my stash.

House Mouse Sunny Days

Last month I was very lucky to be one of the winners over at the House Mouse & Friends Monday challenge and as well as receiving a fabulous prize courtesy of Kelly I was also given the opportunity of being a guest designer for the months of May and June.

This is the first of my cards and the theme this fortnight is Sunny Days They have some fabulous sponsors lined up as well as some candy and you can find all the details over on the challenge blog here.

I've used an image from the Joanna Sheen 'House Mouse triple cd collection' as it brought back memories of when my kids were young - it was a very hot summer and we spent most of the time playing and cooling off in the paddling pool (it was one of those large rigid sided ones and even I could splash about in it!!) The lovely sunny spotty paper is from Bearly Mine Designs and it was all layered up with white and yellow card. The dies I used are Poppy Stamps fancy flower which I coloured to match those on the image and Marianne LR0152 to mount the sentiment. I found a metal clip star shape in my stash and when I added some card candi I had my sun and the ribbon had the perfect wording - sweet cute lovely fun -  to finish the card.

I shall enter this in the following challenges ~
Creative Inspirations challenge 'Spring flowers' (my 2nd entry)
Divas By Design challenge 'April showers'
Cute Card Thursday challenge 'Here comes summer'
My Craft Creations challenge 'Anything goes' (my 3rd entry)
Sketch N Stash chaallenge 'Sketch' (neglected stash the star clip shape)
A Little Bit Crafty challenge 'Flower power' (my 2nd entry)
Bearly Mine challenge 'Flowers' (my 2nd entry)

So why not get out your House Mouse, Gruffies and Happy Hoppers to join in the fun over at House Mouse & Friends and for those of you who are interested I see that Joanna Sheen has some special offers on stamps and cds.

A Hunkydory Kind of Day

Hi everyone, hope you've had a good weekend with lots of sunshine and warm weather. It's my auntie's 92nd birthday at the weekend so I made a few cards for my Dad to pick one from to send her and this is one he didn't choose.

All of the papers, decoupage and butterfly are from Hunkydory. It looked fine but I wanted to bling it up a bit so I added a pearl flourish (which trails over the layers of decoupage), some little white roses and a double bow made from organza ribbon (this ribbon is much paler IRL)

and here are a couple more showing the layers

I shall enter this in the following challenges
Papertake Weekly challenge 'Sketchie free for all' (sketch 61)
Creative Inspiration challenge 'Spring flowers'
Allsorts challenge 'Butterflies'
The Ribbon Girl challenge 'Flowers'
A Little Bit Crafty challenge 'Flower power'
Bearly Mine challenge 'Flowers'
My Mum's Craft Shop challenge 'Lots of layers'

In a Snippet Mood

Hi to you all, hope you had a good day and are ready for the weekend - and a long bank holiday weekend for those of us in the UK. I've done none of the jobs I planned for today but I did grab a bit of crafty time as I felt in a 'snippet' mood. I blame Di as since I found her challenge over at the playground I've been hoarding all my snippets instead of throwing them in the bin.

I used an embossing folder which I got free with a magazine to emboss part of the card base and the paper snippet is from the Prima 'doodle deux' collection. The die-cuts, all from snippets of white card, are Cheery Lynn 'hummingbird' (cut twice so that I could layer it for a better effect) and  Memory Box 'fanciful flourish'. Also from snippets, the flowers are Dovecraft daisy punch with hole puncher bits for the centres and I added a peel-off sentiment to finish.

I've got my keys so I'm off for another quick play at Pixie's Snippet's Playground where you can use up all your snippets.

Thanks for popping by and I hope you have a good weekend. Forecast is for sunshine, so fingers crossed.
